 Lisa Allmey-LaMaitre began her teritary studies with a Bachelor of Science degree at the Austalian National University, majoring in psychology and neuroscience. Lisa then went on to complete the Advanced Diploma in Remedial Massage at the Canberra Institute of Technology. Lisa has been a qualified massage therapist for over twelve years.
Lisa's interest in sports massage began while working and travelling with several motorsport teams. From 1999 until 2001 Lisa worked with a number of rally teams who competed in the Australian Rally Championship (ARC).
She then furthered her training by becoming a Sports Trainer and has worked extensively with the sport of gridiron (American Football) since 2000. Lisa has travelled and worked at all levels within the sport - from the local junior and senior grades, through to state, national and international representative teams.
Lisa specialises in remedial and sports massage, and with her sports trainer experience excels at injury management.
In 2006 Lisa received her attunement to Level 1 Usui Reiki. Lisa has also attended the Functional Fascial Taping course through Ron Alexander, and has made her writing debut by having her first series of articles published in The Art of Healing and Massage Australia magazines.
