Principal Practitioner: Lisa Allmey-LaMaitre
Lisa began her tertiary studies with a Bachelor of Science degree at the Australian National University, majoring in Biology, Psychology and Neuroscience. Lisa then went on to complete the Advanced Diploma in Remedial Massage at the Canberra Institute of Technology.
Lisa has been a Health Practitioner for over 19 years.
Lisa's interest in Sports Massage began while working and travelling with several Motorsport teams. From 1999 until 2001 Lisa worked with a number of Rally teams who competed in the Australian Rally Championship (ARC).
She then furthered her training by becoming a Level One Sports Trainer through Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) in 2001.
From 2000-2009 Lisa worked extensively with the sport of Gridiron (American Football). Lisa has travelled and worked at all levels within the sport - from the local junior and senior grades, through to State, National and International Representative teams. Lisa had been the Head Sports Trainer to the ACT Monarchs (2001-2003), Arena Football League (AFL) Pacific Rim Training Camp (2002), the Australian Outback Junior and Senior Representative teams (2003), the AFL All-Star Team Downunder (2003), and the Under 19s New Zealand IronBlacks (2009).
From this extensive experience Lisa specialises in Event Preparation, Injury Management and Recovery.
Lisa has also completed additional training in Functional Fascial Taping (FFT) with Ron Alexander (2008), TRE (Trauma Release Exercise) with Dr David Berceli (2011), Oncology Massage (Module One) through Oncology Massage Training (2012) and certification in Kinesiology taping, with Rocktape (2014).
In 2006 Lisa received her attunement to Level 1 Usui Reiki and in 2011 was attuned to the level of Reiki Master (Seichim and Usui). Lisa furthered her training in Energy Healing by completing training in ThetaHealing (DNA 1 Basic and Advanced, DNA 2 Basic and Advanced) in 2013, and ThetaHealing Manifestation training in 2015.
In 2009 Lisa made her writing debut by having her first series of articles published in The Art of Healing and Massage Australia magazines. This year Lisa has written for The Fit Busy Mum, Canberra Business News, Big Ink blog and HerCanberra.
Lisa's business story is included in a new book 'Canberra Business Success Stories' by Suzanne Kirraly, which showcases over 35 Canberra businesspeople who have been in business for over 10 years.
Lisa is the Canberra Hub Leader for Wellness Hubs Australia (WHA). WHA is a 'net-learning' event which aims to teach Health and Wellness owners better business skills.
Lisa has been a guest coach/casual teacher with The Australian Institute of Fitness, and completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in 2015.
Lisa is a member of Massage Australia (MA).

Our Senior Practitioners are Amanda and Lloyd.
Senior Practitioner: Amanda Ferguson
Amanda completed her Diploma in Remedial Massage at the College of Natural Therapies in Canberra. She has also completed a Certificate in Lithos Therapy (massage treatment utilising hot and chilled stones) and Cupping. Amanda also holds an Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy from CIT, and is a qualified Naturopath.
Amanda has been massaging for over 13 years and enjoys educating and helping clients achieve and maintain a "bodywise" lifestyle. Amanda specialises in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Foot Reflexology, Cupping, Hot Stone Massage as well as Remedial, Relaxation, Pregnancy and Sports massage.
Amanda has been an integral part of Therapy Masters since 2005 and headed up our Office Management team (2009-2011).
Amanda is currently continuing her studies through Charles Sturt University.
Amanda is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).

Senior Practitioner: Lloyd Donnelly
Lloyd Donnelly completed the Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Remedial Massage) at CIT in 2004. Lloyd is qualified in Remedial, Sports, Relaxation, Pregnancy.
Lloyd specialises in Sports and Remedial Massage and has worked with a number of sports and sporting teams over the last 13 years.
During the 2003 Rugby World Cup, Lloyd worked exclusively with the Italian Rugby Union Team during their campaign. He has massaged the ACT/NSW Rams U16/U18 Australian Rules Football squads (2002-2004), at the 2006 Surfboat Marathon and worked with the North Melbourne Kangaroos AFL team here in Canberra (2006).
In 2009 he provided massage treatments to the male Nepali competitors who ran the Everest marathon, in Nepal. He also ran stretching sessions for these competitors.
Most recently Lloyd volunteered his massage expertise at the 2015 Neverest event, which saw participants simulate a Mountain Everest climb of 9,000 vertical metres, to raise funds for survivors of the earthquake in Nepal.
Lloyd came in to the Massage Industry after working as a Support and Disability Careworker for 6 years. He also holds a Diploma in Community Studies (Welfare). He has always been interested in the well being of others and cares greatly for all living creatures.
An avid traveller and trekker Lloyd completed his first trek in 1988, where he trekked for 5 weeks to Mount Everest. He trekked again in 1990 around Annapurna, Nepal, and then he has trekked annually since 2007 throughout Nepal, Bhutan and Ladakh, Northern India.
In 2007 Lloyd began supporting two families and three local schools in the small Nepalese town of Jiri. He currently provides scholarships to 14 students which ensures their school fees, books and uniforms are paid for each year.
Lloyd is a member of the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT).
Our Practitioners are recent graduates of their Massage training. Often they have been mentored by the Therapy Masters team during their study. They are equipped with the latest Industry knowledge and keen to share their new skills with our client base.
Practitioner: Rebecca Allen
Rebecca Allen recently completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage at the Canberra campus of the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF). She has also completed her Certificate III in Fitness through AIF.
She has been working with Julia Russell Massage as a Sports Massage practitioner with a number of professional sporting teams (including rugby league and rugby union teams).
Prior to moving to Canberra, Rebecca lived in the United States. There she spent seven years workingin the health industry as a Chiropractic Assistant at La Costa Chiropratic and Treatment Coordinator at Carlsbad Pediatric Smiles.
Rebecca is passionate about providing her clients with holistic treatments, and educating them on how to heal their bodies naturally and live a healthier lifestyle.
Rebecca is a member of the Association of Massage Therapists and Fitness Australia.

Our Relaxation Practitioner has over FIVE years of clinical experience. They are qualified and well versed in Swedish Massage techniques and specialise in providing our clients with a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Relaxation Practitioner: Mila Lopez
Mila Lopez completed a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy at the Om Shanti College of Tactile Therapies in 2010. Mila has worked in a clinic setting for over 4 years and has also specialises in providing onsite and mobile massage services for corporate and private clients.
She is qualified in Swedish, Pregnancy and Seated/Corporate Massage.
Mila has a background as a Graphic Designer and Desktop Publisher. She worked as part of the advertising team at The Canberra Times for several years and has also studied photography, drawing, painting and sculpture at Art School.
She is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the at the Australian National University’s School of Art, where she is specialising in oil painting.
Mila will be sharing her expertise in Relaxation and Corporate/Seated Massage with the Therapy Masters client base. She will be also part of our administration team covering reception.
Mila is a member of Australian Association of Massage Therapists (AAMT).

Our Student Practitioners are personally mentored by our Principal Practitioner and Managing Director, Lisa Allmey-LaMaitre, throughout their Massage training.
Students are carefully selected by Lisa for their dedication and enthusiasm to the Health Industry.
Student Practitioner: Erin Hobson
Erin studied at the University of Canberra completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology) in 2002.
At graduation she began working as a Neurophysiological Technician with a Canberra Neurologist for the next 4 years, before becoming a Rehabilitation Consultant. Erin has worked in the Rehabilitation Industry for the last 9 years. Erin is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
In 2014 Erin made the decision to gain more “hands-on’ skills and began studying Massage Therapy through the Australian Institute of Applied Sciences (AIAS). In March 2015 Erin completed her Certificate IV in Massage Therapy and is currently completing her Diploma in Remedial Massage.
Erin has been mentored and supervised by the team at Therapy Masters throughout her Massage training.
Erin is an avid World Traveller and genuinely cares about growing and sharing her health and fitness knowledge with others.
Erin is a member of Massage Australia.
